For generations, the Eagleson family has served Southampton and the surrounding Saugeen Shores community, offering support and guidance to families at a difficult time.
1953
The Eagleson family arrives
Gordon and Margaret Eagleson purchased the business in May 1953. Eagleson Furniture and Funeral Services began serving their new Southampton community.
1955
A home for families to gather
The family purchased Spruce Lawn Guest Home on Palmerston Street, which became Southampton’s first funeral home.
1987–2009
The next generation carries on
Frank and Doris Eagleson continued the family tradition from 1987 to 2009. Their son Chad and his wife Jodi then took ownership of the funeral home.
